Brain Test was created to democratize access to cognitive aptitude testing. I originally built this app in 2021 as a faithful clone of Crossover’s Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test while preparing for job applications. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to understand their strengths, work on their weaknesses, and improve through practice without barriers.
By offering a free, high‑quality CCAT replica, we empower job seekers and learners to gain confidence before taking official assessments and to track their progress over time.
The CCAT is a widely used pre‑employment test that measures problem‑solving ability, critical thinking, and the capacity to learn new skills. It comprises multiple‑choice questions across verbal reasoning, math, and spatial reasoning and is timed to simulate real‑world decision making. Brain Test replicates this format as closely as possible so you can practise under realistic conditions.
Research has shown that cognitive aptitude tests are among the best predictors of job success. Companies use them to help identify candidates who can quickly adapt, process information, and overcome complex challenges.
I built Brain Test in 2021 while preparing for job assessments at Crossover. It serves as a practice platform that mimics the structure and difficulty of the CCAT, allowing users to sharpen their skills and reduce test anxiety.

Our questions and scoring methods are modelled after the actual CCAT to deliver honest and reliable feedback.
